The closest airport is Milan-Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (BGY). Ryanair flights depart four times a day from London Stansted to this airport, which is located 10 minutes away from the hotels we suggested in the “Hotel section” and from the venue itself.
Unfortunately, the Milan-Linate Airport (LIN) will be closed due to refurbishment.
There is another airport, Milan-Malpensa Airport (MXP), which is a bit further away from the venue but flights with EasyJet, Alitalia and British Airways depart regularly from various London airports.
However, if you fancy a trip before coming to our wedding, you can also fly to Pisa, Florence, Verona or Venice and have a few relaxing and sightseeing days before our wedding!
Cars can be pre-booked via car rental online and collected at any of these airports. It might be handy to have a car if you want to visit the area and taxis are generally expensive. However, the Winter Garden Hotel provides a shuttle bus to and from the Milan-Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport, but it must be pre-booked in advance (you can contact the hotel for further info on this or visit their website: https://www.wintergarden-hotel.com/).
The Parrocchia of S. Lorenzo Levita e Martire (Church) and the Castle of Cavernago (Venue) are located in front of each other and separated by a 100m walk. We will try to organise transfer from the Winter Garden Hotel to the Church and then in the evening back to the Hotel.
